Windies to play ICC rest of the world XI at Lord’s

The Windies are set to face a Rest of the World XI side in a one-off T20 game to raise funds for the Caribbean cricket grounds (James Ronald Webster Park in Anguilla and Dominica’s Windsor Park Stadium) that were damaged by the recent hurricanes – Irma and Maria. The match between the reigning world champions and World XI is set to take place on May 31 at Lord’s.
The International Cricket Council has granted the match international status. with England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) president Giles Clarke, an ICC board member, co-ordinating the game. The match will be broadcast live and the proceeds from the game will be used as for the restoration of the grounds.
