I’ve been kind of busy hence the post today. I was in charge of dessert for Easter, a Lemon Meringue Pie and a Sacher Torte, both made by me in my kitchen. A battle erupted over the Lemon Meringue Pie and there were two people who complained about the Sacher Torte. I didn’t put icing between the three layers of cake of the Sacher Torte. (it calls for apricot jam which is what I used to keep it moist) There was so much icing from the flowers on top you’d think they would have had enough icing. The base icing on the torte was a chocolate ganache and I used it as a canvas for the butter cream flowers. There was enough dessert for 24 servings and there was only 10 of us there – go figure – I guess we have a lot of „sweet tooths“ in our family.
